Meet Tawny!

Tawny is a miniature schnauzer/wheaten terrier mix. When Tawny was a puppy she was scared of a lot of things. Like most dogs, she was very frightened by thunder and lightning. Jen and Tawny are best friends, Jen helps Tawny to understand the things she is scared of. Through understanding and growth, Tawny becomes the bravest dog you will ever meet. Through Tawny Dog’s experiences, children and families will learn that anxiety and social difficulties are a part of growing up. Tawny’s favourite things to bark at or chase are: vacuums, squirrels, groundhogs, fireworks, mice, and unfortunately…SKUNKS (ewww).

Once Tawny connects understanding something with being less afraid of it, she becomes brave about everything. Tawny also knows that her fears are something she doesn’t have to be ashamed of or hide; talking about it with someone close is the best thing you can do!
